We Listen to Your Feedback
While we know it’s impossible to satisfy every request, we do our best to update our facility to accommodate what’s best for everyone collectively.
Two of our most significant updates for 2021 are WiFi and Privacy:
WiFi: We now offer the latest state-of-the-art satellite internet connection available with speeds that allow for 100 devices to connect simultaneously on our whole house mesh system.
Bedroom Privacy: We enclosed our upstairs bedroom area that was once open floor plan for a more private experience.
We continue to improve our facility to enhance your stay. It’s the little things that keep us a 5-star retreat house.
We are in the process of updating our website to include booking directly for returning customers. In the meanwhile, you may review photos and book our property at our VRBO or AIRBNB listing immediately! Thank you.
Lake Leelanau runs 21 miles (34 km) through the middle of the Leelanau Peninsula. Our property, Lake Leelanau Retreat House, is located less than 2 miles from “The Narrows” in Lake Leelanau, the nearest boat launch and beach. Our property features serene, private 12 acres of woods, ponds, and nature to explore.

The Lake Leelanau Retreat House is pleased to announce the installation of our new road sign, which is easily seen from both directions at 1399 S Lake Leelanau Dr (1/2 mile south of Fountain Point Resort) just one and 1/2 miles south of M-204, the main road between Suttons Bay and Leland.
The Lake Leelanau-Sutton’s Bay-Traverse City Route starts and ends right in front of our property on Lake Leelanau Road. Leave our driveway, take the beautifully winding road to Sutton’s Bay. Stop for a breakfast in one of the local cafes, then hop on the paved Leelanau Bike-Walking Trail that snakes through the middle of the Leelanau Peninsula. Circle back up Lake Leelanau Road and land right back at our place just in time to start up the grill and settle in with a campfire.
Karen and Terry’s was a great house for our family of 8 adults to stay. The house was decorated for the holidays and all the little touches were thought off that make a stay special. The beds and bedding were super comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we were even left with the ingredients to make smores with their new indoor smores machine. Great communication when reserving, check-in and checking out. We stayed between Christmas and New Years and when an unexpected storm hit the day before we were to leave, Karen texted and offered us an extra night at a reduced rate so that we wouldn’t have to travel through the snow. Very much appreciated! All in all a great stay from start to finish. Would highly recommend!– Tom
